110 - werewolves werewolves werewolves

for fun, i've been messing around with this supernatural monsters au for the hbo war miniseries fandom. i've turned two of the characters into werewolves because they're my favourite monster ever. so here are all the werewolf related doodles i've done over the past few days.

so it's summer and i've basically just been drawing non-stop. here's some stuff that i've posted other places. mostly doodles and character designs and nerdy fanart.

it's been forever since my last post, and for that i am sorry. i've just been so busy doing school work and going to my internship that i just haven't had the chance to upload anything. i've been working on my webcomic, but i don't want to post the pages in too many places or else no one will want to read them when i finally launch the thing, so instead here are some random things i've been doing lately/found on my desktop.

-nerd fanart. the fifth doctor and turlough from doctor who.
-nerd fanart that i don't think i ever really liked enough to post anywhere. modern day au!merlin and arthur from merlin.
-nerd fanart. flareon from pokemon. i have fun drawing pokemon in this style.
-nerd fanart. i really love drawing rapunzel from disney's new movie tangled. her design is so great and all that hair is a blast to draw. done without reference, so blame any inaccuracies and my inability to draw pascal on that.
-nerd fanart. i watched a few episodes of young justice and fell in love with the character design work. my fave sidekick, robin.
-self-portrait of me in my winter gear enjoying farmer's market hot cider.
-nerd fanart. i think i might have posted super!merlin before, haven't i? well, i doodled him again in the style of jemma salume. but i wasn't looking at refs so i got my own design wrong. oops.
-character design. cooper in an alternate universe as a struggling med student intern.
-nerd fanart. a birthday card i did for my niece's birthday in february. again, i really like to draw rapunzel.
-webcomic character design. randomly drew a weird looking guy with a long braid, turned him into a character for my comic. he's an eccentric, dandy of a millionaire who is somehow friends with thursday.

107 - character design

you guessed it - more character design for my comic. sunday and thursday have already been posted because they're part of the main crew, but here's their ridiculous, dysfunctional family. clifford blaise is a noble (some sort of duke, i think. still mulling it over) in one of the countries of ides. they're all lions, so the family is very clearly based on a lion pride. the youngest (sun and thurs) aren't really going to get anything good from their arrangement, so they ran off to be 10x more awesome.

106 - character design

more character design work for my comic.

top two are jimmy, a gang leader, and his annoying distant cousin jacob that he ends up saddled with.

bottom four are the pirate captain, cain's main officers on his ship (the revelations). they are based on the four horsemen of the apocalypse. these designs are still being finalized, but these are the animals they're going to be based on (a texas blind salamander, a locust, a wolverine and an owl). death's cloak was definitely inspired by the giant one that my friend zack wears around, just cause it's big and victorian looking and he needed some sort of cloak.

105 - comic series pre-production

here's the majority of the planning i've done for my senior project this semester. i'm working hard to flesh out this world. i still have a few more things to name though - rivers, lakes, mountain ranges, major cities... and so on. i'm planning on designing many, many more characters as i go along, too.

the name of this planet is "ides" by the way. it's a smaller planet than earth, which is why the oceans are much smaller.

104 - character design

on wednesdays this semester i have a break in between my two classes and i can't see myself wanting to walk all the way back to my apartment and then back to campus during that time, so today i sat in my school's cintiq lab and drew. i really love those computers - what i wouldn't give to have one for myself. so here's tezrl sans hat (he looks a little like a bear, it's odd) and the design for a lionfish man pirate in my steampunk world.
