147 - growing strong

i made this really quickly to be part of a photoset on tumblr, but i ended up liking it, so i made a larger version to use as my cover photo on facebook. 


my favourite house in the a song of ice and fire series is house tyrell - their words are 'growing strong' and their sigil is a golden rose on a green field. the photo actually came from a nice, hd video of the brooklyn botanical gardens.

i did some pro-bono design work for the dj project human effort about a week or so ago. be sure to check out their mixes because they're pretty great.

i'm getting to the end of a storm of swords, third book in the a song of ice and fire series. oberyn martell was a really great character and i wish we could have seen more of him before he met his unfortunate end. but what a great scene it was, though.

143 - pokemon

i've been wanting to do more and more lineless work since i discovered this photoshop brush, and i think i've finally found the method that works best for me.


for some reason, i decided to do some pokemon to test it out. i didn't mean for them all to be purple.

i downloaded a bunch of new fonts a while ago and didn't really get to play with them yet, and i've wanted to do something with these guillemots lyrics for a while. stock photo from here.
