yesterday i ended up listening to some card captor sakura songs while i was at work and it made me very nostalgic for this old series. i grew up watching ccs and it's still one of my absolute favourites, i don't know too many more series that are sweeter or more genuine than this one. i wanted to be her when i was a little kid, but for now i think i'll just settle for drawing some pictures instead.
an illustration intended to recall my older fifth doctor and turlough one - my new favourites, eleven and rory. done after reading a thing about just rory travelling with the doctor and them ending up with a stray cat wandering into the tardis and not leaving. the tenth doctor got to play with kittens, i think eleven should too.
summertime is usually boredom time for me. i've got a habit of running out of things to draw sometimes, so i decided to do the nerdy pokemonathon challenge (there's always a chance i won't go the distance, but it's worth a try). ignoring just how nerdy it is to draw pokemon, i think it's really a good exercise. a lot of the original character designs are great, and i normally wouldn't draw things like most of them.

been watching the pacific again, and i really dig the canvas leggings that the marines wore as part of their uniforms, so i wanted to draw someone wearing them. i also wanted to design more outfits for my apocalyptic characters to wear. killing two birds with one stone.

every once in a while i'm compelled to do a new one of these. so here it is- me, my fourth doctor scarf and good old dalek bernard (who is actually a dalek bank i have sitting on top of my dvd stand).
