147 - growing strong

i made this really quickly to be part of a photoset on tumblr, but i ended up liking it, so i made a larger version to use as my cover photo on facebook. 


my favourite house in the a song of ice and fire series is house tyrell - their words are 'growing strong' and their sigil is a golden rose on a green field. the photo actually came from a nice, hd video of the brooklyn botanical gardens.

i did some pro-bono design work for the dj project human effort about a week or so ago. be sure to check out their mixes because they're pretty great.

i downloaded a bunch of new fonts a while ago and didn't really get to play with them yet, and i've wanted to do something with these guillemots lyrics for a while. stock photo from here.

my friend and i jokingly compared one of the characters from teen wolf to the titular character from zoolander and she came up with this gem. i loved it so much that i had to do something with it, and now this is available as a t-shirt on redbubble. i'd also like to do a version that works on lighter colours.

i got some new fonts today and decided to play with them. these are lyrics from the song "baby we'll be fine" by the national, and i think my wonderful friend megan might be getting a simplified version of this tattooed on her sometime, as i would like to as well.
