155 - les mis

when the les mis movie came out, it pretty much took over my drawings for a while. namely les amis de l'abc, who are a really great group of characters. some of these were commissioned.

154 - alternate universes

another project from last summer, though an unfinished one. i wanted to put together another book, this time of two characters being drawn into different universes other than their own. i'd like to pick this one up again, and i probably will when teen wolf starts up again, because i was forcing myself to do backgrounds with each one and i just haven't been doing that enough lately.

153 - the night is dark

here's a project from last summer - i drew stiles from teen wolf as a different monster every day for thirty days. it was mostly an experiment for myself and a fun drawing exercise to see how many ways i can push and pull this character that people already know well. i ended up turning it into a book that people could buy over at storenvy.

152 - school supplies

this month's illustration prompt was 'school supplies', so i decided to go with this little girl who thinks gender roles are dumb and is going to like wearing pink dresses and spider-man because she can.

150 - double double toil and trouble

part of my absence from blog posting can be blamed on teen wolf's second season starting up in june. i was obsessed with season one, and it just got even better this time around.

it's also responsible for somehow getting me a constantly growing following over on tumblr, which in turn is responsible for getting me the commissions that have been helping me to pay my student loan this month. so thanks, teen wolf. have one tiny piece of the huge amount of fanart i've been doing.

149 - spiders

some of my friends from pratt had been talking bout doing different illustration prompts and last week they gave me the word 'spider.'

now, because i have been doing my own personal project (and will post about it when it's done) and commission work to get money to pay my student loans, i put the spider off til the last minute and don't have a big fancy illustration to show.

but i do have this cute little doodle of a peacock spider.

148 - winter is coming

i've been wanting to do drawings of all the stark (+jon snow) kids with their dire wolves for a while, and the other day, the idea for these portraits came to me. i won't go into too many details about why each of them is pictured the way they are because i don't want to spoil anything for people who are only watching the show and not reading the books.
